Jackie,

Thanks so much for the constructive feedback. And the really great questions. We'll tackle them in an upcoming episode. Until then one thing to think about is how you can tap into those who are social media savvy. For example, maybe you do something really cool on social media and get picked up as an example by an influencer in the space. Which gets your product seen by many more eyeballs. Some of which may be in a business that would need SuperMax or know of someone.

As for Facebook Sponsored Stories, we'll have to delve deeper with a full post, but the gist is this: instead of a traditional ad you can choose to expand the reach of Facebook actions. So if someone likes your Page you can choose to have that activity served up to the people they're connected with. The idea is "hey, my friend likes this and I like that too." This works with status updates as well. Make sense? Here's more about them from Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/help/?page=154500071282557

Cheers! :)

Love the concept of your "show"!

A few thoughts/comments.

Your group consists of all fairly young people. How does Facebook and Twitter relate to the older generation, or does it? For instance, I market for SuperMax Tools, and we are just "getting into" the social media portion of things. But, our target audience isn't as Social-media savvy as other target audiences. How, then, do you still get them to Facebook and Twitter?

Please clairy the "Sponsored Story" concept. It was a bit difficult to grasp.

Finally, I think the whole beer theme is fun, but some people might take offense. Don't know if that bothers you; I just thought I'd mention it. As for me, I'm going out to buy the beer you guys recommended!

Great stuff and as you know I totally jumped on the Timeline bandwagon after seeing your fabulous presentation. The Timeline gives small businesses the opportunity to gain visibility and interact with our business "likes" in a manner that is much more robust and "real-time" than with our websites. I can't wait till you see my new Timeline and let me know if you think that I am hitting the mark.

Ellen, this is great information and as you know, based on seeing your fabulous presentation on the "not so new" Facebook Timeline, I hired a firm to help design mine (in fact, I'll be launching it soon!). Websites are 100% necessary but you are right, most of them have become well, sort of a big yawn. The Timeline gives us much more opportunity to be interactive and gain visibility and for small businesses such as myself, it can really be a boost to my social media game plan. I can't wait for you to see my new stuff and tell me if I'm hitting the mark.
