UPDATE: 4/19/2014 at 5:32 p.m. EDT - Friday morning around 10:32 am ET, our primary service site experienced a major power disruption. Many of the redundant systems that should have kicked in immediately failed to do so. We do not yet know why but are working with our data center provider to get to the bottom of this. The power outage caused our systems, as well as the systems of other companies hosted at the site, to shut down.  Based on having 90 minutes of unstable power and the abruptness of the way our systems shut down, we had to completely restart all systems. We did this to ensure the integrity of our customers’ data, and because methodically restarting all applications was the best way to make sure we got everything running in a safe and stable way. We were able to restore our website first. The additional work of shutting down all other applications, restarting them, and verifying their status took us until 1 am Saturday morning. At all times, your account information and data was fully secure. We are actively working with the data center facility to learn what went wrong and plan a full assessment of our own systems to ensure that this does not happen again. We anticipate having more information in the coming days to share with you. We appreciate your patience.

UPDATE: 4/19/2014 at 1:00 a.m. EDT - Our service is now fully available. Thank you so much for your patience. We deeply regret any problems this may have caused you and are working diligently to prevent this from happening again. Please note that because of this issue, we were not able to send some emails  that were scheduled to send yesterday. We have set these emails to a draft status in your account so you can decide if you still want them to send and when. Please log into your account and check the status of your email. If you would still like to send this email you can re-schedule it now. If you have any trouble, please feel free to contact our customer service team at support.constantcontact.com.

UPDATE: 4/18/2014 at 11:12 P.M. EDT - At this time, customers are able to log back in to Constant Contact. Please note that we are now working to get our email send capabilities fully back up and running. In the meantime, you can log in to your account and work on emails or other campaigns. Please be aware that while you can schedule your campaigns to send, no emails will be sent until that capability has been fully restarted. We expect that to take about an hour and will provide another update as soon as that happens. Again, we thank you for your patience and regret any inconvenience this has caused you.

4/18/2014 at 1:24 P.M. EDT - We’re sorry. The Constant Contact site is currently unavailable. We had a significant local power failure. Our fully redundant back-up system didn’t roll over appropriately. The power has been restored and we are carefully restarting the product. This may take up to a few more hours. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.
