We know events can be tough to put together, whether they’re a fundraiser, workshop, or conference.
While we have plenty of great tips and advice for how to overcome your event planning and marketing challenges, we certainly don’t have all the answers. That’s why we asked our customers to submit a video and share their biggest event success, their biggest event blunder, and one quick event tip.
We reviewed all the submissions, looking for the most interesting and creative story, and awarded our grand prize totaling $1,500 to the Children’s Museum of Richmond!
Check out this video to learn more about our winner. I bet you’ve never seen a “press conference” like this one before:
Inspiring the next generation of problem solvers
The Children’s Museum of Richmond is a nonprofit organization that tries to inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers through hands-on exhibits and learning experiences.
This past year, the museum provided free or reduced admission to 62,530 people, including 13,665 economically disadvantaged students from area schools. They also host more than 20 special events per year to spread the word about the museum and give families that may not normally visit a reason to come.
As if that’s not enough, the museum also hosts larger events where they transform the museum into Brazil or Paris for a fundraising gala. Like other nonprofits, they work hard at making their events special, and use Event Marketing to help promote them, and manage some of the tedious details.
We are proud to call the Children’s Museum of Richmond our contest winner. They took a very fun and interesting approach to conveying their message.
We’d still love to hear about your event successes, challenges, and tips. Feel free to share them in the comments section below. And to get more of our own tips, be sure to “Like” the Event Marketing Page on Facebook.
