By now, you’ve probably heard a thing or two about our upcoming mobile webinar, “Making the Case for Mobile.”
If you haven’t, here’s what you need to know.
“Making the Case for Mobile” is a mobile marketing webinar designed specifically for small businesses and nonprofit organizations. The goal of the webinar is simple: demonstrate why you need to think about mobile today, so that you can grow your business tomorrow.
We’re also going to provide some practical advice so that you can begin to transition to a more mobile-friendly marketing strategy on your own terms, without getting overwhelmed. We will address some common mobile marketing misconceptions and will lead you down the right path to a successful mobile marketing strategy.
If you read our blog or subscribe to our Hints & Tips email newsletter, you know that we’ve been doing a lot to get our readers prepared and excited for this event. If you’re still wondering if this event is right for you, here are 4 reasons why you should attend.
Reason #1 Mobile is already influencing your business today and will have an even greater influence tomorrow
Whether you realize it or not, if you own a small business or run a nonprofit, mobile is already influencing the way customers, prospects, and supporters interact with your organization online.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s happened in the world of mobile in the last year alone:
- Smartphone usage in the U.S. increased by 50 percent in 2012 (Kleiner Perkins)
- The number of emails being opened on mobile increased by 330 percent (Litmus)
- Tablet usage doubled in the U.S.in 2012 (Pew Research Center)
It doesn’t matter if you run a family-owned farm that just celebrated its 75th anniversary or a restaurant that just opened its doors, mobile already influences the lives of your customers and will have a greater influence in the years to come. Now is the time to get ready.
Reason #2 You will have plenty of opportunities to have your questions answered
One of the things we knew for sure when we started to put this event together was that we wanted to give everyone who attends the chance to have their voice heard.
In recent months, and as we’ve prepared this webinar, we’ve listened to the questions small businesses are asking about mobile. This webinar will start to address the most common of those questions. And don’t worry if your question isn’t immediately answered — with over 500 questions already asked in the registration process, we won’t get to all of them. But stay tuned. Answers to a lot of those questions will appear in the blog in the days, weeks, and months to come.
We’re also going to give you plenty of opportunities to have your questions answered during and following the event. During the event, our team of experts will monitor the conversation on our Facebook Page, where a live Q&A will take place. Immediately following the webinar, we will host a chat on Twitter where members of our team will answer your questions in real-time. It’s a great chance to get your questions answered by our team of experts and to see how other businesses are making the switch to mobile.
Reason #3 Learn how other small businesses and nonprofits are already using mobile
In preparation for the event, we conducted a survey of more than 1,300 small business owners to better understand how small businesses are already using mobile in their marketing efforts. We will share some key takeaways from the study throughout the webinar.
Also, keep in mind that this session really isn’t limited to any particular industry or type of organization. Since registration opened back in June, we’ve seen a wide variety of business owners and marketers from different industries register for the event. From travel agencies to restaurants to salons to schools and religious organizations — we’ve seen all sorts of businesses and organizations sign-up to attend.
We’ll be sharing the case for mobile regardless of the industry you’re in. In fact, based on a lot of the information we’ll share, we think you’ll see that your industry is already embracing mobile.
Reason #4 You will get practical advice you can put into action right away
We knew when we developed this webinar that we wanted our audience to walk away with practical advice they could use right away.
So, in addition to covering why mobile matters to your business or organization, we’re going to offer simple tips we believe all small businesses and nonprofits need to know when introducing mobile to their marketing efforts. These are tips you’ll be able to put into action right away, whether you’re designing your next email or making a decision about how to invest your time and efforts in the future.
Everyone who attends the webinar will have the opportunity to download a free copy of our mobile marketing checklist, featuring 8 simple tips to becoming more mobile friendly today.
