The Power of Apps: Getting Started

We love apps here at Constant Contact.

And just as your mobile apps help you organize and optimize your life, apps for Constant Contact do the same for your business.

They can help you do everything from syncing contacts between your CRM and Constant Contact, to adding a sign-up form to your blog, to helping you curate online content for your newsletter. With so many apps (200+!) spanning across so many categories, navigating the Constant Contact app ecosystem can be daunting. But don’t worry, we are here to help.

Follow these two easy steps to start using apps today:

Step 1: Connect your existing business tools

With so many apps in our MarketPlace, chances are, we are integrated with the business tools (CRM’s, donor management systems, eCommerce platforms) you’re already using. These apps, or integrations they’re sometime called, sync contacts (name, email, phone, and more) and other key business data between the tool and Constant Contact. This ensures that all of your contact data is recent and consistent, without the need for manual data entry or uploading.

Here are some popular business tools we are integrated with:

CRM: Salesforce – This free integration, built by our partner Cazoomi, allows you to sync contact data between Salesforce and Constant Contact.

Donor Management: Blackbaud eTapestry – This integration allows you to sync data between eTapestry and Constant Contact, as well as view email campaign stats within eTapestry.

ECommerce: Bigcommerce – This integration syncs contact data between the two systems, and lets you create Constant Contact custom lists based on a variety of criteria in Bigcommerce.

If you don’t see your tools listed here, head over to MarketPlace and use the search box.

Step 2: Expand and optimize your marketing with apps

This is where things get fun. We have a ton of apps in the MarketPlace that expand the functionality of Constant Contact, solve age-old business problems, and help you supercharge your marketing efforts. These apps span a variety of categories: list-building tools, video-marketing platforms, loyalty programs, and more.

Here are some of the most popular:

List Growth: iCapture – One of our most popular apps to date, iCapture is a mobile app (for iOS and Android) that allows you to use a tablet (or phone) to collect contact data and automatically add it to Constant Contact. This is a great tool for people signing up customers or prospects at their storefront or at a trade show!

Content: DigiohDigioh is a tool that gives you the ability to send and track file attachments in Constant Contact emails. Looking to send an eBook, white paper, or other expanded contact? Digioh lets you add a download link to your newsletter, track downloads, and best of all, it gates the download and prompts non-subscribers to join your list to view the content.

Mobile: QwiqqQwiqq is a mobile app that lets you easily create “for sale” posts and share them across all of your networks (including Constant Contact). PayPal is integrated, allowing people to buy from right within your posts. This is great for online retailers and brick and mortar stores.
